Prof. dr MLADEN PRVULOVIĆ, Vice-President of the SMS
Born on 1 January 1947 in Rakinac, near Velika Plana. Completed Medical University in Novi Sad in 1971.
Completed his specialisation in internal medicine in 1978.
Attended post-graduate classes in cardiology and specialisation classes in nuclear medicine.
Defended his Masters thesis in 1982, and his doctoral dissertation from the area of nuclear cardiology in 1990. Carried out his advanced study training in nuclear cardiology in Ulm (Germany) in 1986.
Dr. Prvulović’s expert and scientific activities are focussed on the introduction and evaluation of new diagnostic procedures in internal pathology, primarily in the area of nuclear medicine and magnetic resonance.
Had advanced study training in Rome, Pisa, Brussels, and Prague.
To date has published 206 expert works, seven chapters in monographs and textbooks, and took part in three scientific research projects as a researcher and project proposer. Commended twice by the Society of Physicians from Vojvodina of the Serbian Medical Society for his successful organisation of scientific gatherings.
Formerly, the president of the Society of Nuclear Medicine of Yugoslavia. The founder of the Centre for Magnetic Resonance at the Oncology Institute in Sremska Kamenica, where he fulfils the duty of Centre Director. As a full professor, lectures on internal medicine and pneumophtisiology at the Medical University in Novi Sad.
